The Hasentree Golf Club Subdivision
This subdivision and golf club community in Northern Wake County within the Falls Lake watershed is on a private, community wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) that cleans up the wastewater to Reclaimed Water (RCW) standards then the reclaimed effluent is used as conjunctive use spray irrigation on the golf course turf grass. S&EC worked with the project engineer on various aspects of the soil series mapping, agronomic soils evaluation, hydrological work, and environmental compliance work to obtain the environmental permits needed for construction. This included soil hydraulic conductivity (Ksat) testing using a constant head well permeameter technique, groundwater monitoring, groundwater well sampling, groundwater/hydrological modeling, and post-construction evaluation on spray irrigation application areas. The WWTP is permitted through the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality (NCDEQ).
S&EC also did surface water & riparian buffer delineations, a Phase 1 Environmental Assessment, a Wake County Flood Hazard Soils (FHS) evaluation, Stormwater Seasonal High Water Table (SHWT) soils evaluations, and stream/wetland impact 401/404 permitting work on this project.
