Castleberry Reserve Wetland and Stream Delineation and Resource Conservation Area Review

S&EC conducted environmental consulting, to include a wetland delineation and Town of Apex Riparian Buffer Review for the Castleberry Review project in Apex, NC. Wetland boundaries onsite, as well as stream origin/end points were delineated and flagged in the field. The US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) then verified the site. The Town of Apex also verified that the stream riparian buffers were accurately depicted based on the Town’s Unified Development Ordinance (UDO). S&EC also reviewed the site for Threatened and Endangered Species (T&E) and submitted for concurrence to the US Fish and Wildlife Service. Historic structures or elements onsite were also reviewed for the State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO). From there, Section 404 and 401 Permitting was obtained from the USACE and NC Division of Water Resources for impacts to regulated features onsite.

S&EC also conducted a Town of Apex Tree inventory (to GPS located all 18 “ Hardwood trees onsite. Proposed Resource Conservation Areas were reviewed in detail, as well as perimeter landscape buffers to ensure they meet buffer/forested requirements set forth in the UDO.
